While walking through downtown Athens a couple of weeks ago, I found a spot that piqued my interest – “Taqueria Tsunami”. A mix of a Spanish and Japanese words, I did some more research on it.
Taqueria Tsunami is a restaurant serving Latin-Asian fusion food. To say I was intrigued was an understatement. I decided to visit the restaurant with my friends one weekend.

Tsunami Quatro – Thai Chicken taco, Asada Zing taco, Chipotle Lime Chicken taco
At first, I was pretty skeptical of these tacos, especially because it came at such a steep price. However, all that skepticism quickly flew out the window as I took a bite of each taco. You can tell that each ingredient of each taco was purposefully chosen to create a flavorful combination.
My personal favorite was the Thai Chicken taco. It comes with grilled teriyaki chicken, cabbage, carrots, cilantro, sesame seeds and drizzled with Thai peanut dressing. Every ingredient combined together created a savory and delicious flavor.
