Pork Chashu Rice Bowl
You might be thinking to yourself, “isn’t it kind of silly to order a rice bowl at a ramen place” and honestly, i agree. But sometimes I’m not really in the mood for a heavy meal like ramen. So, sometimes I order a tasty rice bowl at Jinya.
The texture of the sticky and hot rice makes it an excellent vessel for the savory and sweet pork chashu. I’m usually not the biggest fan of boiled eggs, but for these rice bowls I like to take out the jammy yolk and mix it into the rest of the rice bowl. The green onion topping provides a mild kick to round out the bowl’s flavor.
